Afghanistan War
Afghanistan War (2001-present) began in October 2001. After the WTC attacks of September 11, the United States begin their campaign against terrorism war in Afghanistan, with the aim to overthrow the Taliban, accused of protecting al-Qaeda, and to capture Osama bin Laden. Northern Alliance of Afghanistan to provide the majority of troops, with support from the United States and NATO countries including the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands, and Australia. Code name given by the United States for this conflict was Operation Eternal Freedom (Operation Enduring Freedom).
